New Consulting company in the Medicon Valley Øresund Science Region

The distinguished Swedish medical device consultancy PREVENTIA AB and Copenhagen Medical Device Consulting (CMD Consulting) have decided to merge January 1st 2009.

PREVENTIA has since 1989 assisted organizations to prevent errors in products and processes through professional consultant and training services in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs within the Medical Device Industry and Pharmaceutical Industry. February 1, 2005, Anette Sjögren, MSc., became CEO of PREVENTIA AB.

PREVENTIA offers a network of professional consultants with respect to serve its customers in the best possible way within Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Biocompatibility and Toxicology, Risk Management, company internal educations as well as speakers at open courses and conferences.

CMD, Copenhagen Medical Devices Consulting was founded in 2001 by Poul Schmidt-Andersen, B.Sc.E.E., B.Comm previously head of the National Danish Notified Body, DGM.

CMD has provided services to medical technology companies in the areas of establishing compliance documentation for medical devices with respect to European Union Medical Devices Directives and US/FDA Code of Federal Regulation, training, clinical data research and quality management systems.

The name of the new company will be PREVENTIA - CMD and be registered in Sweden. Anette Sjögren will continue to be CEO of PREVENTIA AB where PREVENTIA-CMD will belong.

Poul Schmidt-Andersen will be available as senior consultant within the network of consultants serving selected customers and conduct training within sterilization techniques and software validation. Marianne Gantriis Poulsen will likewise continue as consultant for Preventia-CMD.
